Scope :

SOMS (Smart Order Management System) is an advanced order management solution built for manufacturing companies seeking to streamline their operational workflows. The platform provides an all-in-one solution, offering modules to manage sales, invoicing, stock levels, accounts, and human resources (HR). SOMS was designed to improve order fulfillment efficiency, ensure accurate stock management, and simplify administrative processes.

Key features of SOMS include comprehensive order tracking, real-time inventory management, and robust reporting tools. The system tracks each order from placement to fulfillment, ensuring timely deliveries and customer satisfaction. Users can also generate daily and monthly performance reports, providing valuable insights into sales metrics and other critical data points.

Additionally, SOMS offers a real-time inventory tracking system to monitor stock levels, preventing stockouts and supply chain issues. The accounts and HR modules centralize administrative tasks, while automated SMS notifications and invoicing further simplify business processes. The Challenge of Project

  • Order Management Complexity: Managing orders across multiple stages of the manufacturing process required a robust backend solution. Laravel was employed to create a comprehensive order lifecycle management system that tracked orders from placement to fulfillment, ensuring seamless transitions between stages.
  • Real-Time Stock Monitoring: Implementing a system that accurately tracked inventory levels in real-time across multiple warehouses posed a challenge. This was resolved using a combination of MySQL for database management and Laravel for real-time data updates, ensuring accurate and up-to-date stock information.
  • User-Friendly Reporting & Notifications: Building customizable reports and integrating SMS notifications required careful attention to detail. Using jQuery and Laravel, we developed an intuitive reporting interface that allows users to easily generate sales reports, and integrated an automated SMS system for instant order updates and reminders.
