Scope :

The Hospital Management system is a full-stack web application designed to streamline and automate various internal operations of a hospital. The system covers essential hospital management functionalities such as appointment scheduling, stock management, laboratory exam management, and more. The primary objective of the system is to improve hospital operations by reducing manual tasks, ensuring better resource utilization, and enhancing patient care.

Appointment Management: The system provides a seamless interface for managing doctor appointments, allowing patients to book, reschedule, or cancel appointments online. The module also assists hospital staff in managing schedules, reducing overbooking, and improving patient wait times.
Stock Management: This feature allows the hospital to track and manage medical supplies, medications, and equipment. The system monitors inventory levels in real-time, issues notifications when stock levels are low, and automates reordering, ensuring that critical supplies are always available.
Lab Exam Management: The laboratory exam management module streamlines the process of ordering and processing lab tests. It enables doctors to request lab exams electronically, tracks the status of lab requests, and stores the results for easy access by both doctors and patients.

The system was developed using Laravel for backend development, ensuring robust and scalable architecture, and MySQL for database management. It is hosted on AWS, providing a secure and scalable environment that can handle large amounts of patient and operational data.

The Challenge of Project

Efficient Appointment Scheduling: Managing appointments for multiple doctors across different departments required a dynamic and flexible scheduling system. I implemented a robust appointment management system using Laravel that allowed real-time booking and scheduling, ensuring smooth coordination between doctors and patients.
Stock Monitoring and Alerts: Ensuring that the hospital had adequate medical supplies at all times was critical. I developed a real-time stock monitoring system that provided automated alerts when stock levels dropped below a certain threshold, ensuring timely replenishment.
Lab Exam Workflow Automation: Managing the workflow of lab exams, from test requests to result delivery, required a streamlined process. I used Laravel to build a lab management module that tracked requests, managed workflows, and securely stored test results for easy retrieval by both patients and healthcare professionals.
