Scope :

The Event Flow is a specialized enterprise resource planning (ERP) system developed to manage festival events and functions for venues. The system automates the creation of unique event access cards through image processing and integrates RFID technology to control and manage access to specific events for end users. The primary focus is to streamline event management by offering a secure and scalable solution for event access and user management.

Key features include:

  • Unique Card Generation (Image Processing): The system generates unique access cards for each event participant. These cards are created using image processing techniques, ensuring each card is personalized and visually distinct.
  • RFID-Based Access Control: Each generated card is integrated with RFID technology, allowing the system to control access to specific events and areas. RFID scanners are used to authenticate participants and grant access based on the permissions assigned to their unique cards.
  • Event Management: The ERP manages all aspects of event planning, including scheduling, attendee tracking, and access control, ensuring that only authorized individuals can participate in specific events.
  • Permissions Management: Administrators can assign specific access rights to each participant, allowing for granular control over who can access different events and areas within a venue.

The system was developed using PHP for backend development, providing the necessary logic and workflows to manage card generation, RFID access control, and event planning. MySQL was used to handle the relational data, such as user details, event information, and access permissions. The application is hosted on AWS, ensuring that the system can scale according to the needs of different events and festivals while maintaining data security and high availability.

The Challenge of Project

  • Unique Card Generation: Developing a system that could generate unique event access cards using image processing required an advanced backend solution. I used PHP to implement image manipulation libraries that allowed the system to create visually distinct, RFID-enabled cards for each participant.
  • RFID Access Control Integration: Ensuring that RFID-based cards could securely control access to specific events posed a challenge. I integrated RFID technology into the system’s access control processes, allowing real-time authentication of participants using RFID readers connected to the system.
  • Scalable Event Management: Managing access and permissions for large-scale events with numerous participants required scalable infrastructure. I leveraged AWS to host the application, ensuring that it could handle high traffic and data loads during major events and festivals.
