The Invoice Flow is a web-based application designed to streamline billing and stock management processes for small-scale manufacturing industries. The system automates the creation and management of challans (invoices), tracks inventory levels, and generates various financial and operational reports. Additionally, the system includes features to export reports to Excel and PDF files, offering flexible data handling and sharing options for businesses.

Key features include:

  • Billing (Challan) Management: The system automates the creation of challans, helping manufacturers quickly generate and manage invoices for their products. This feature supports the tracking of issued and received challans, ensuring accurate billing and payments.
  • Stock Management: The stock management module provides real-time tracking of inventory levels, helping manufacturers maintain optimal stock levels for raw materials and finished goods. The system alerts users when stock is low, ensuring timely restocking and preventing production delays.
  • Reports Generation: The system generates detailed reports on billing, stock levels, and financial transactions. Users can customize reports based on their specific needs, providing insights into operational performance and helping manufacturers make informed decisions.

The application was developed using PHP for backend logic, while MySQL managed relational data, such as billing records, stock information, and transaction histories. The system is hosted on AWS, providing scalable cloud infrastructure to support growing business needs and ensuring data security and high availability.

The Challenge of Project

I implemented a dynamic link between the challan and stock modules in PHP, ensuring that stock levels were automatically adjusted when a challan was created or settled.
  • Data Export Features: Enabling export options for Excel and PDF required careful data formatting and handling. I developed custom export functions within the system to ensure that generated reports were accurately formatted and easy to share or store.
