Fairtility is a groundbreaking platform that leverages the power of AI to modernize and optimize IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) processes in fertility clinics. With a focus on improving patient outcomes and clinic efficiency, Fairtility provides a suite of AI-powered tools designed to assist embryologists in identifying the most viable embryos and sperm, ultimately enhancing the success rates of IVF procedures.

Key features of the platform include:

  • AI-Powered Embryo Selection: Using advanced deep learning algorithms, Fairtility’s embryo selection tool analyzes embryo quality to help embryologists make more informed and accurate decisions, improving overall patient outcomes.
  • AI-Powered Sperm Selection: This tool utilizes computer vision algorithms to evaluate sperm morphology and motility, selecting the best candidates for fertilization. This feature is designed to enhance fertilization rates and improve IVF success rates.
  • Automation of IVF Processes: Fairtility also includes tools to automate and streamline various administrative tasks within IVF clinics, such as patient scheduling, data management, and reporting, allowing clinics to operate more efficiently while maintaining a high standard of care.

My involvement in this project spans the development of both the frontend and backend aspects of the platform. On the frontend, I used Vue.js and Vuex to create a dynamic, responsive, and user-friendly interface that allows clinicians to seamlessly interact with the AI tools and access important data. For the backend, NestJS was employed to ensure a scalable and efficient API architecture, while GCP provides the cloud infrastructure to securely manage data and support the AI algorithms.

The Challenge of Project

  • Complex AI Integration: Integrating complex AI algorithms into the platform required precise backend support and seamless frontend interaction. By working closely with data scientists and AI specialists, I helped ensure that the NestJS backend was optimized for efficient data processing and retrieval, while Vue.js handled the complex data visualization and interaction on the frontend.
  • Maintaining High Performance: The platform needed to maintain high performance, even when processing large amounts of sensitive medical data. I optimized both the frontend and backend code to reduce latency and ensure fast, reliable access to AI-powered tools, with GCP providing scalable cloud resources.
  • User-Friendly Design for Clinics: Creating an intuitive user experience for clinicians with varying levels of technical expertise was crucial. Leveraging SCSS for styling and Vue.js for reactive components, I developed an interface that is both aesthetically pleasing and easy to navigate, allowing clinicians to focus on their primary tasks without being overwhelmed by the technology.
