Scope :

StylBx is an innovative platform designed to offer users a personalized fashion lookbook based on their responses to a tailored quiz. The system utilizes a tag-based quiz module to identify user preferences and generate curated lookbooks that align with their personal style. The key features of StylBx include an intuitive quiz layout for a seamless user experience and a customizable lookbook feature that allows users to refine their selections.

The project involved building a robust backend with Laravel to manage user data, quizzes, and lookbook generation. JQuery was used for dynamic interactions on the frontend, enhancing the responsiveness and interactivity of the user interface. The database architecture, designed using MySQL, was optimized to efficiently handle user preferences, quiz results, and lookbook configurations. The application was deployed on AWS, leveraging cloud infrastructure for scalability and high availability.

The Challenge of Project

  • Dynamic Quiz Design: Developing a flexible tag-based quiz system was challenging due to the need to cater to various style preferences and scenarios. We implemented a dynamic tagging system where quiz questions and outcomes were driven by metadata, allowing for scalability and customization for future fashion trends.
  • Personalization Engine: Creating a personalized lookbook that accurately reflected user preferences required sophisticated logic in the backend. This was addressed by building a recommendation engine in Laravel that analyzed quiz tags and matched them with the most relevant fashion pieces from the database, producing a highly customized lookbook.
  • UI/UX Optimization: Ensuring a smooth and engaging user experience was critical to the success of StylBx. To enhance user engagement, we employed JQuery to handle real-time feedback and interactions, making the quiz more interactive and the lookbook customizable on the fly.

Outcome:

The StylBx platform successfully delivered a highly personalized fashion experience by enabling users to visualize and customize their fashion preferences. Key results include:

  • Improved User Engagement: The dynamic and interactive quiz module, built with JQuery, allowed users to easily identify their style preferences. The personalized lookbook feature kept users engaged, leading to higher interaction times and repeat usage.
  • Scalable Infrastructure: Deployed on AWS, StylBx was designed for scalability, ensuring that the platform could handle increasing user loads without compromising on performance. This scalability was crucial for the client’s plans to expand the user base and accommodate future growth.
  • Enhanced Personalization: The Laravel-based recommendation engine offered precise and tailored lookbooks, improving user satisfaction by delivering fashion choices that truly aligned with their individual tastes.

Overall, StylBx provides a sophisticated, user-friendly solution for anyone looking to curate a personalized lookbook, making it a standout tool in the fashion tech space.
